It's not the heat it's the humidity. No wait it's the heat, the humidity, the heat and humidity. How about it's HOT! HOT! HOT!

Twelve golfers endured the heat and wet conditions today. The elements contributed to a rather disappointing display of golfing expertise as evidenced by our average score of 91.8 and minus points winning the front, back and eighteen.

Lake Lure Trip Details

Tuesday five started four finished. We played skins with the following results:

Thursday with all the travel we only fielded four players. We played a Nashua match between Bob and David and Ron and Don. Results:

Bob and David pressed on the fifth hole and won the press.
Bob and David pressed the eighteen on seventh hold and lost.

Ron and don won the back, eighteen and trash.

August 6th

Two teams of three ventured out today. Louie shot his best round ever with a 79. Wait a minute. After a recount by Ron Louie was deflated to learn he actually shot a 80. Still an excellent round.

August 4th

Ten showed up to fight the heat and humidity today. Bob Moody proved he can play in any conditions. Bob posted the lowest round of the year, 76. Way to go Bob. The rest of us did not do as well.

A road trip to Lake Lure is scheduled for sept. 14th through the 16th. There is room for eight, five have reserved slots. Three more golfers are needed as we are renting a house. The deal includes two nights lodging and three rounds of golf for $178.00. It has been suggested we look into cooking the evening meals since we will have access to a grill and full kitchen. Let Tommy know if you are interested as he needs to lock in the dates.

Midland Valley Road Trip

Nine contenders met at Midland Valley to challenge the fast greens. As it turned out the greens were much slower especially uphill. However the rain held off and it was a great day.

Great day to play golf. Cool temperature, low humidity and a little wind. Eight Players today.

How Slow Can You Go

Seven showed up today. Pretty good for a Saturday. Slow play all day. On Laurel 4 we had three groups on the tee box. Bad news is it probably will only get worse.

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day.

Nine golfers teed off in a light drizzle which quickly changed to a nice dry day.
