Eleven golfers made it out today. Unfortunately I was not one of them. With the exception of Brent (37), Laurel is still the nine that remains a challenge.

The team of Louis, george and Brent had the best score on Laurel with +2.5 and duplicated the effort on Azalia with +2.5 to finish +5 for the day.

Tommy, Bob, Ernie and Larry eked out +.5 on the front but came storming back  with +5.5 on the back  to win the back and overall with +6.

Then there was the foursome of Marcus, Ron, Jack and Duke taking a beating on Laurel, -15 and a face saving -3 on Azalia for a total of -18. I think this may be the 2008 record in the negative column. Marcus went from 77 on Tuesday to 84 on Thurday. At least we know he is human.
Seven regulars and one guest, Marcus Williamson, showed up today. It should be noted that Marcus can and does drive a golf ball a great distance. On number 9 Dogwood he was challenged to drive the green while our other group was putting out. He hit the green on the fly and ended up on the back of the green. Larry Andrews was so impressed that he immediately gave Marcus a gesture that appeared to indicate that he thought Marcus was "number one".

The battlefield today was Dogwood/Laurel.

The team of Ron, Marcus, Brent and Don having to pull 48 points a side met the challenge on Dogwood to post a +5 but gave it all back on Laurel with a disappointing -5 to finish flat for the round.

Duke, Larry, Jack and Tommy had a similar day with a +3.5 on the front and -1.5 on the back to end up +2 which gave them a win on the back and overall. Team one avoided a clean sweep by winning the front.
